The Jewish Tradition – Introduction to Judaism by Rabbi Eliezer Melamed

On the 'Jewish Tradition' website, the deep meaning of the Halacha becomes clear, as it reflects godly ideals and values that are intended to give value to life, and elevate it to the great vision of tikkun olam. Through the study of the 'Jewish tradition' - the history of the people of Israel, with its great periods and its difficult crises, receives its full meaning, and becomes a story of the history of the discovery of faith and the vision of fixing the world, a story that we celebrate on Shabbats and holidays, in prayers, on days of remembrance and fasts. A story by the power of which the people of Israel returned to their land after a long exile, and by the power of which all the prophecies of redemption will be fulfilled.

Essay: My Journey Studying Jews and Antisemitism - Prof. Navras Jaat Aafreedi

How I developed interest in the study of Jews and antisemitism is the question I have been asked more than any other in my life. It is quite understandable given the fact that there is always a certain factor and sometimes even more than one responsible for triggering interest in a particular field. In my case people were surprised to find a person with a Muslim sounding name studying Jews and antisemitism and relentlessly trying to combat antisemitism. This intrigued them as unfortunately Muslims and Jews have come to be seen as natural adversaries today. There were three factors that converged to stimulate my interest in the study of Jews and antisemitism, viz., my religiously mixed background and the eclectic environment I grew up in, antisemitic rhetoric in the Muslim discourse in my hometown Lucknow, and my paternal Pashtun family’s age-old tradition of descent from the lost tribes of Israel.
